Eggs in Purgatory

I was recently watching reruns of Nigellissima and Nigella was making this dish. I realised it was quite a while since I had made it. So I vowed to put that right and made it the following evening.

Crispy Chicken Cutlets

This recipe from is from Nigella’s Kitchen. I pretty much use the original recipe without any changes but as it is not online I thought I would share it.

I struggled a bit with naming this dish. Technically yes, it is a tart. However a tart suggests something far more elegant than this!

Lemon Spaghetti

… or to give it it’s proper title, Spaghetti al Limone.

Hearty Beef and Red Wine Stew

Updated January 2021 This Hearty Beef and Red Wine stew has been on my site for 7 years now is another great winter dish. It was originally inspired by a Jamie Oliver recipe Jools’ Favourite Beef Stew but I have but I had to make my own tweaks to it. As the years have passed […]

Beef Chilli

Being a big fan of Mexican food, I love a big bowl of chilli on a cold night. This can be vegetarian or meat but nothing beats a good beef chilli.
