Zaalouk or Moroccan Aubergine and Tomato Salad

I had never heard of Zaalouk until John Gregory Smith made it on Sunday Brunch a few months ago. It is a Moroccan salad of cooked aubergines, or eggplant, and tomatoes often served at room temperature as a dip or a side dish. And it is absolutely delicious! You can see his original recipe here.

Sticky Malaysian Chicken Wings

Apologies for the radio silence. Between snow and storms and well, just life in general, I took a little break from my blog. And it was nice. So I’m back now to share this recipe for delicious Sticky Malaysian Chicken Wings.

DIY Pot Noodle – Take 2

There has been a lot of discussion lately about the amount of processed foods we as a nation eat. Anytime these types of discussions pop up it makes me slightly uncomfortable. Leek and Potato Soup

It’s Winter, so that means it’s time for a soup recipe. I fear however that this recipe Leek and Potato Soup is going to expose my weirdness. I’ve been making this Leek and Potato Soup for years and while it is delicious, even if I do say so myself, I was never completely happy with […]

I’m doing a great job fighting the Irish stereotype here. One of my favourite things to eat growing up was a big fried potato cake that my Mam used to […]

Caramelised Onion Tarte Tatin

Today I’m back to work after two weeks off. I’m not as blue about it as you might think, I feel like I’ve had a proper break. I also gave myself a break from the blog and social media in general, just dipping in and out the odd time. I’d highly recommend it. You might […]

Whole Roast Cauliflower with Spiced Yogurt

My love for cauliflower knows no bounds. This isn’t me jumping on a bandwagon, I’ve been a big fan for a long time as these previous posts will show. I love roasting cauliflower as it brings out a nutty flavour to the veg. Roasting it whole is even better again, you get more of […]
