White Chocolate Raspberry and Lemon Fridge Cake

It has been a while since I posted a sweet recipe. I wouldn’t want to give a false impression here, I don’t have a particularly sweet tooth but still find myself making desserts regularly. My oven is a bit temperamental so I try to not use it too much, even though I am making this […]

Lemon Cake

Chocolate Pavlova with Mascarpone Cream

I have a wee dilemma with this recipe. I absolutely love it. It’s chewy and rich and chocolatey and all things nice. When I made it recently though I was told, “You can’t call it pavlova, it’s not a pavlova!”

Cheats Chocolate Ganache Tarts

Sometimes life is just too short to make pastry. There are times when you have a crowd for a meal, you want to have a choice of desserts but just don’t have the time to make everything from scratch. This is when these tarts come into their own – easy, inexpensive and still very impressive.

White Chocolate and Passionfruit Mousse

I was a little reluctant to try this dessert from Nigella’s Forever Summer. I’m not a big fan of white chocolate as I find it a bit sweet. However the passionfruit is sharp enough to cut through the chocolate, making this a really pleasant mousse.
