Minestrone Soup

If your childhood was anything like mine, growing up in Ireland Minestrone Soup was something that came in powdered form in a box with some questionable looking dehydrated veg. Nevertheless, I loved it.

Indian Roast Chicken

I should probably come up with a more interesting name than Indian Roast Chicken for this dish. But to be honest, that is exactly what it is. I could call it tandoori but that would be incorrect so let’s not try to dress it up too much.

Duck Ragu

My Kitchen Rules is one of my favourite TV shows. I do watch a lot of cookery shows but I feel mildly bereft when a season of MKR comes comes to an end!

Beef Rib Sandwich

I first wanted to try cooking with beef short ribs after having them in a restaurant. I love really good slow cooked meat and they just fell off the bone. So when I came across a recipe in Deb Perelman’s Smitten Kitchen book I knew I had to give them a go.

Beetroot Relish

This recipe is not going to be for everyone. I’ve discovered that people really have a love/hate relationship with beetroot. I love it, himself can occasionally tolerate it.
