Happy Birthday – Cookbook Giveaway!!

**************************** GIVEAWAY CLOSED ****************************

Ultimate Chocolate CakePicture from BBC Good Food

Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to……..ok you get the picture.

You thought this was a post for that fab chocolate cake? Sorry, no. But please feel free to send one my way if you like. Or click on the link above if you fancy giving that one a go.

The blog is a whole year old today! I started this as just a little hobby for myself but over the past year I am delighted to see people following and using the blog. It’s really lovely when you get feedback from someone that tried a recipe or even said that they learned something from what I wrote. I’m still very slow to promote it as such but maybe I’ll get better at that too as time goes on. It also encourages me to try some new things and I have set myself a target of a post a week to keep me on my toes. Maybe you can all give me a gentle nudge if I fall behind!

To celebrate and thank everyone who has shown an interest, I am doing a giveaway. I will give a copy of a cookbook that I have referenced – or completely copied! – in the recipes that are already on the blog. Below, I have listed the books and you can click on the name of each one to get a description of it.

To enter:

– Make sure you are following the blog. This can be done by signing up by email or a relevant reader like WordPress or Bloglovin. (Facebook doesn’t count I’m afraid)

– Leave a comment stating which book you would like if you win.

– One entry per person.

– That’s it!

I will reply to each comment with a reference number and then use Random.org number generator to select a winner. Entries close on Saturday 14th June. It is open to anyone worldwide. Have a look at these books to see what you would like. Yes, I am a Nigella fan…

Bill Granger – Bill’s Basics
Deb Perelman – Smitten Kitchen
Delia Smith – Complete How to Cook
Donna Hay – Fast, Fresh, Simple

I’m off to a wedding now (woohoo!!!) so I won’t be very responsive today I’m afraid. Tomorrow could be dodgy too if I’m being honest. But leave your comment and I promise to get back to you. I’m aiming to publish more recipes from different cookbooks in the next year, not just Nigella! I will be back with another recipe over the weekend.

Good luck!
